The Spoken Word, by Mariah Reed

“The Spoken Word” is an original musical by local professional theatre artists Mariah Reed, Matt Clemens and Tammy Holder. Reed is a professional SAG/AFTRA and AEA actress who is a tenured faculty member at Broward College’s Visual and Performing Arts Department. Matt Clemens is a composer who works for Celebrity Cruise Lines. Holder is Artist Instructor of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Children Education program. The Spoken Word highlights the adventures of a young woman who learns about life and love through her newfound passion for cycling. The rules of the road, our heroine quickly discovers, are profoundly similar to the rules for living a life of purpose and meaning.

The musical will be presented Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th at 7 pm and Sunday, April 27th at 2 pm in Broward College’s Performing and Cultural Arts Theatre located on South Campus. The Theatre is located in Building 68 at 7200 Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Tickets are FREE for this PG-13 rated show.
