Suicide Prevention Training - QPR - Alumni & Friends and Melanie Gnzaida Gilson

Question, Persuade and Refer or QPR - 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help. This evidence-based training prepares you to perform with confidence and ease.

Alumni & Friends is grateful to Melanie Gnzaida-Gilson, Manager of Student Services and QPR Trainer Certified, who will offer this training.

Training occurs at Broward College Central Campus in Davie. Room 425 of the Library.

This event is open to alumni, friends, faculty, and staff of Broward College. There is no cost for this training. A light lunch will be provided.
