While the history of Native Boarding Schools is now in the public narrative, this horrific issue has haunted Native communities for generations, rearing traumas that continue to pervade today. Joseph Cloud brings his story to Broward College. There is no simple map of how the impact continues to play out and how we find the path forward, but we must begin. Within this conversation, Cloud gives an in-depth history of Native Boarding schools, while retelling his journey to reclaim what was ripped away from his family, leaving participants with actionable tools on how we can support Native communities now.
