Dr. Lisa Elsinger, Wellness Program Manager

Dr. Lisa is the Wellness Program Manager in the Talent and Culture department at Broward College, where she promotes an optimistic, moderate approach to well-being and encourages attention to healthy living through compassionate self-care. She earned a doctorate in adult education and health promotion from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a certified ergonomist, a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance, and a facilitator of mindfulness and guided meditation practices. Lisa believes in the power of lifelong learning and personal growth, uplifting people’s lives, and contribution to community.

Teresa Simeon, Associate Director, Institutional Events, Broward College

Teresa has worked for Broward College over 30 years. Over time she has worked in many different positions, learning most facets of Broward college. She also graduated from the college, earning her bachelor’s degree in Supervision and Management.

Teresa has a wealth of experience producing a variety of events. She is passionate about creating awareness amongst her colleagues around creativity, calmness, honesty, kindness and inspiration.

Thinking Outside the Box: My creative ideas are always brewing in my head giving new energy to every event I plan. I will continue to exude the Spirit of Broward College, in my path of greatness.

Mario Vazquez, Academic Advisor and Adjunct Professor

Dr.Mario is an Academic Advisor and an Art adjunct professor at Broward College. He is a United States Army Veteran and a prior K-12 Visual Arts Educator. Mario obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University and a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He believes that mindfulness and art can be learned, appreciated, and incorporated into our daily lives.
